Description

I’m selling my Ferrari 308 GTB Euro Carter Sec, chassis number 22305, out of production on 03/ 09/ 1977 and first registered on 24/ 03/ 1978. It’s a Pozzi France original.

The car stayed in the same family from 1986 to 2014.

I acquired it from the previous owner, who had it from 2014 to the start of 2023, and who was the person who looked after the family’s cars before that.

I have a fairly comprehensive folder of invoices (including from 1978, Pozzi invoices) and, above all, the MOT/ CT history from 1986 to today proving the car’s mileage.

The car still has its original spare wheel (Dino model) as well as the original dealer handbook from 1977 and the lubrication chart, but I don’t have the tool roll and maintenance booklet—like so often with these older models, they’ve disappeared over time.

Honestly, that wasn’t a concern for me given the car’s traceability and documented history.

I’ve recently bought in Italy the tool roll reissue (new, unfilled) directly from the original manufacturer of the time.

Today it has about 61, 300 km, and since I bought it in April 2023 I’ve covered a bit less than 3, 000 km at the wheel, including 3 annual entries in the Rallye des Belles de Mai (a navigation rally of roughly 300 km).

A major service was carried out at 58, 624 km, including, among other things, the timing belt, water pump, clutch replacement, engine/ gearbox oil change, crank seals, brake pads, ultrasonic cleaning of the carburettors, etc.

Since I bought it, I’ve carried out the following work:

- 4 Michelin XWX tyres
- Full refurbishment of the wheels
- Full refurbishment of the Ansa silencer
- Replacement of the oil pressure sensor
- Replacement of the fuel pump
- Carburation/ ignition set-up at AFM Motors
- Replacement of the output shaft Spis seals at AFM Motors
- Replacement of the distributor/ ignition carbon and re-tightening/ checking of the steering play and front wheel bearings at AFM Motors
- Oil change and replacement of the oil filter at 60, 500 km at AFM Motors
- Full replacement of the fuse holders (reliability upgrade)
- Last MOT/ CT check: passed clean

The car runs perfectly well, doesn’t run hot in an abnormal way, oil pressure is good both cold and hot, and the gears engage smoothly both cold and hot.

It’s a lovely example. Originally it was finished in Argento Auteuil (a colour I really like, which definitely steered my choice towards this model). It was repainted in its current colour by the previous family, who kept it for a long time (the old Ferrari fashion of needing to be red at all costs).

It’s not a concours-condition car, but it is in very good preserved condition, with a few minor aesthetic imperfections—nevertheless, you can turn the key and hit the road for kilometres of driving pleasure from the driver’s seat.
