Selling a rare 1976 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 with an interesting Italian history. The car is fully registered on European (Norwegian) plates with all historic domestic taxes paid. It has been garage-stored for many years and is sold strictly as a non-running restoration project "as-is". It must be collected using a car transporter trailer.
Engine & Drivetrain:
* Current Setup: A newer and more powerful V8 engine and gearbox from a Ferrari 328 Quattrovalvole have been mounted into the engine bay, connected to the driveshafts, and adapted to the exhaust system. The headers/ manifolds have been spliced together (the welding is functional but not cosmetically pretty – there is a possibility of a minor exhaust leak).
* Remaining Engine Work: Custom air intake/ air filter box needs to be fabricated. Fuel delivery must be converted from carburetor to an injection-ready fuel pump system. Ignition needs to be wired for electronic ignition. Original wiring loom, coils, ECU, and fuel injection from the donor 328 are included.
* 328 Engine Condition: The 328 QV engine was purchased from a donor wreck. It was visually immaculate and unmolested upon purchase, and was reported to have low mileage (approx. 10, 000 km), though this cannot be officially verified. Please note the engine has not been started during current ownership.
* Original Engine Included: The original, matching-numbers 308 engine is included for the purist (removed due to a connecting rod mechanical failure through the block, as documented in photos).
Bodywork & Condition:
* General: Structurally in very good, solid condition, with the exception of minor surface rust at the bottom of the left front wing/ fender and on the rear corner of the boot lid.
* Factory Heritage: Left the factory in the rare combination of "Blu Montecarlo" with a blue interior and red carpets. It has at some point been repainted to its current red colour.
* New Body Panels Included: Brand new aluminum undertray/ floor pan and a new lower replacement repair panel for the front wing are included.
* Interior: Very tidy but will require minor cosmetic refurbishment regarding the carpets and the center console. The floor mounting brackets have been lowered to accommodate the current seats (welding is functional but visually crude). Original 308 seats are included. The AC system is currently dismantled but all components follow the car.
* Original Wheels Included: The original 14" factory alloy wheels with tyres are also included in the sale. Note that they require refurbishment as they have been poorly repainted in the past, but they are structurally intact and perfect for restoration.
* Mileage Note: The odometer currently reads 20, 329 km. Please note that this is a 5-digit odometer cluster, meaning the total true chassis mileage is unknown and cannot be verified.
Location & Transport:
The car is located just 10 km from Oslo city centre, Norway, making it very easily accessible for international transport carriers arriving via Oslo ports or highways. All official registration documents (Vognkort part 1 & 2) are ready for a smooth export process. Assistance will be provided with rolling the car onto a transport carrier.
