1951 James Comet 98cc motorcycle with Villiers 1F engine together with a complete spare engine.
In very original condition. I have owned this since 2009. Having missed out in my earlier youth, I decided to get a provisional motorbike licence (CBT) and thought it ideal to take to the local rallies and shows but haven’t used it for several years and thought it’s best to pass it on to someone who is really going to enjoy it without the distraction of a young family.
I haven’t had it running recently but has great compression. It has been fitted with an external car condenser as I haven’t had chance to swap one over from the spare engine. It will also need a new battery. It has a lovely patina and I especially like the original Exide battery cover, original toolbox and original tyre pump.
It draws a lot of attention especially with the pretty exposed flywheel and is great fun to ride.
