EXTERIOR
If you never had the opportunity of buying one of these when they were new, now is your chance. From the day of purchase this example has been carefully stored by its one and only keeper. The result is a car that's nearly 18 years old but still looks just as clean and sharp as the day it rolled off the production line. The Solar Red paint is unmarked throughout, the chrome is perfect, and the rubber seals are soft to the touch. The car remains in outstanding original condition and even its very first tax disc is still visible in the windscreen. This is a true collector’s piece!
INTERIOR
Opening the door you are greeted by that smell only new cars seem to have. The leather on the seats is wonderfully supple and entirely unmarked. Every item within the cabin feels like new. The phrase “time warp” is often thrown around misguidedly amongst car dealers and owners alike, but it really is the only way to describe the interior of this example.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine bay is wonderfully clean and tidy with absolutely no signs of any damage or poor repair to be found. There is no corrosion to any of the inner panels and the Solar Red paint has not suffered any deterioration. All the ancillaries still appear in great shape, and with just 470 miles on the clock the engine is barely run in.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The original Sports Pack 13-inch alloy wheels are 100% perfect and without any marks or age-related wear; they are shod in a matching set of Dunlop tyres that are still completely unworn. The AP brakes are all original and showing no signs of use. The 500’s Sports Pack also meant Koni dampers, which are present and correct.
HISTORY FILE
This little Mini was first registered in March 2001. It has remained in the same ownership since new and is now offered for sale for the very first time in 17 years. The Certificate of Authenticity and Cooper Sport 500 shoulder bag accompany the car. The MOT is valid until July 2019 and a fresh service will be carried out upon sale for the new keeper's piece of mind.
