Regrettably the time has come to sell my dc2 race car , usual story of not enough time to race need money for other things etc.
Honda Integra type r dc2 race car used in the vtec challenge series by myself on two occasions. The car is viable for other series ( 750mc road sports etc )
Car is fully race ready and all safety equipment is in date including roll cage harness and fire extinguisher. All parts on the car have done less than 500 miles will come with drivers seat only. More pictures on request.
Modification wise the car has had extensive mechanical modifications starting with gearbox and final drive . The box has been completely stripped and rebuilt with upgraded carbon syncros from m factory as well as changing 4th and 5th to those from an earlier spec car to make the gearing best possible for the track . These are then connected to a metal plate lsd also from m factory . This is very aggressive but makes a huge difference on track.
Suspension. The car sits on bc racing coilovers with pillowball top mounts these are connected to skunk 2 pro series adjustable camber arms and polybushes all round. Toe adjustment is also provided by skunk 2.
Moving on to exhaust and breathing mods . The car runs a 98 spec manifold with a decat pipe fitted and a mugen style cat back system with a twin loop design. Breathing wise the car has the standard airbox as this is believed to be the best set up. With a pipercross drop in filter.
complete removal of the interior of the car including heater matrix etc. Both the rear hatch and the door glass have been replaced with polycarbonate items as well as removing unnessacry metal . The dash has been lightened and flocked.
Most mounts including engine and gearbox are polybushes to give the car a great feel on track
Engine wise the car is standard bar having a baffled sump . This is partly because of regulations for the class the car is designed around and partly to keep costs low so I can do more racing in a year.
Visually the car has been given to a local company to give the car a great look that harks back to the hayday of btcc in the mid 90s . The car currently sits on toyo r888 s but also has a spare set of ado8rs .
I do have the original hatch and some other bits. For the right price I'm happy to include msa approved overalls, gloves , boots aswell as hans device and approved helmet .
