This is an original Australian Army edition, that was brought in to South Africa and recently fully restored.
Extremely unusual to find an original example in RHD plus the benefit of the seven-slot grille and body carried over from the appearance of the WW2 CJ2a series vehicles.
This car is fully operation complete with extra Jerry-Cans and full all-weather Canvas Hood and Seat cushions. Ready to play in the mud or simply cruise down to the local coffee shop.
The "lady" comes complete her matching numbers; engine, gearbox and transfer case - all of which along with every other component was stripped down and refurbished or replaced prior to reassembly per original. Even the body was given the red-oxide paint base before her traditional Army "Olive Green" top-coat and then given lashings of Black Hammerite anti-rust protection to those areas that really need to be protected against the elements when enjoying a bit of green-laning fun. The only non-original compromise has been to replace the skinny-tyre and steel wheel for a decent set of Wrangler type wheel rims with proper off-roading M&S tyres.
