An opportunity to own one of the final Series 1 GS Sport models, finished in Kingfisher metallic blue with the two tone beige leather (in excellent condition not ripped or cracked... extremely comfortable) interior and gold badging options. This variant features the rare 10" Borbet rear wheel package.... full size spare wheel and unused spare tyre in the trunk.
This particular sports model was supplied by Evans halshaw northway Liverpool on 19/ 9/ 1997.
Sport variants feature TTE suspension (firmer and 25mm lower than standard), a discrete rear spoiler, mesh front grille and 18" Borbet alloy wheels. All Lexus refinements are featured which includes electric tilt/ slide sunroof, electric heated front seats with lumbar/ slide/ recline, electric steering adjustment, automatic climate and cruise control. The multi speaker entertainment system is made by Harmon Kardon and features a boot mounted 12 disc autochanger, all of which works perfectly. The automatic gearbox features sport and overdrive modes which gives the driver the opportunity to choose refined or more sporting driving characteristics. Remote locking with immobiliser alarm is a standard fitment.
4 previous owners... i am the 5th.. last owner had kept it for 6 years. Just 67000 miles from new, MOT to the end of April 2019 (only one advisory.. nsf disc slightly corroded). Last serviced at the end 2017 but it has only less then 1500 miles since then. Probably the lowest mileage sport put there.... only 100 or so remaining on the road.
Previous MOTs and service history available, lexus original car mats with embossed HR Owen logo key sets with two remote controls, owner's wallet with documents and brochure.
It was my intention to fix this lexus and make it 100% as it needs a little amount of work to make it the best. The bodywork is in excellent condition however, the alloys need refurbishment, offside wing mirror case is cracked, the rear spoiler has the lacquer coming off it and at the base of the rear spoiler (where it joins at the boot lid) there is rust bubbling up. Slight scrape on the front bumper (see images) and on the rear bumper.
The exhaust has also recently started blowing I have this inspected and it will need the front box which joins the manifold. This can easily be done if you have the time to source one (used or new) and know someone who can fit it.
It is a amazing car and gets allot of second glances as there are not many cars on the road which has such road presence... 100% future classic... road tests welcome.
I am being totally honest in the description and can't tell you how well this car drives!!!
