This Austin Healey 3000 MkIII is an original RHD, home market BJ8 Phase II model first registered on 1st May 1966. The car is finished a very attractive and very dark Aston Martin Green with Black interior featuring Black leather seating with perforated inserts and Green piping.
Upgrades fitted to this Healey include lightweight aluminium panels, a fast road engine with high lift camshaft, a lightened flywheel, aluminium head and triple HD8 SU carburettors, an upgraded quick ratio steering box, 4-speaker radio with iPod connectivity, SatNav (behind the speaker grille), a cigarette lighter and a safety steering column.
The car has received very significant restoration and further improvement works to get it to the very high standard it appears in today. These works include a full repaint and engine rebuild (2003-5) plus a new interior (2014).
Today the car presents exceptionally well and is in wonderful condition. It has been looked after by us for the last three years. The works-style louvered bonnet with leather straps and twin beautifully colour coded spot lamps give an impressive aesthetic, whilst the upgraded interior, engine and chassis refinements make for a very pleasing and very easy Healey to drive enthusiastically.
Supplied serviced with MOT, heritage certificate of authenticity, paperwork history file including restoration invoices, additional chrome luggage rack and a spare set of keys.
