Noble M12 GTO-3 for sale with special one-off body work in extraordinary visual and technical condition. Since 2016, approx. 15k€ invested on technical upgrades incl. many new parts. One of very few LHD cars in Europe and one of only a hand full of cars with German road registration (emission class Euro 3 compliant). Rare opportunity to buy one of these exciting exotics, ready to go!
Here are the details:
The Noble was first registered in January 2003 in the UK. It’s one of just 118 GTO-3 built and equipped with Ford’s 3l Duratec engine with dual turbo conversion producing 356hp. Compared to the previous version with the 2. 5l engine, this M12 comes with optimized air intake and engine electronics. Factory options included the sought after slip differential, air condition (works!) and radio (works but is pretty useless J).
In 2012, the car was imported to the continent by a company specialized in luxury sports car refinement and carbon fiber parts production. It underwent a full body off restoration (documentation available). The body work’s design is an evolution of the original Lee Noble style, but the car is slightly wider and has a much more aggressive appeal. A real stunner on the road which attracts lots of positive curiosity and admiration. Despite its Le Mans race car appeal, the Noble retains a good suitability for normal traffic and road use (ground clearance is OK).
In the course of the restoration, the Noble has been converted to left hand drive, the adjustable suspension was renewed, a new ceramic clutch fitted (loud but strong) and the frame received fresh paint and rust protection. Today, the car presents itself in an incredibly clean, almost as new condition also under the hood, something very rare for one of these cars.
The three elements of the body work have been manufactured as one-off parts. Quality is better than from factory. Body parts can be reproduced by the company at a similar price than what original Noble body parts are being offered for (if they are available at all!). Colour is Lamborghini matte blue with grey contrasting foil (e. g. on the roof, on front and rear clam, around tail lights). Carbon splitters at the front and on the sides. Lighter Motorsport alloy wheels in gold (made in the UK, new in 2017, spotless condition) with Goodyear rubbers (new in 2017).
Much time and effort has also been spent on the new Alcantara interior with diamond pattern and blue contrasting stitching. This covers the center console, the mid tunnel, the dash and the door cards. Also the seats have been refurbished using Alcantara with blue Noble logos. Momo suede steering wheel with yellow center position.
In 2017, the car has undergone an extensive technical refurbishment worth almost 10. 000 Euros at THE UK Noble specialist Jetstream Motorsport (documentation available). Apart from a major service, the following work was carried out: Optimized engine software, both turbos reconditioned (e. g. new waste gates), new turbo oil feed pipes, both manifolds replaced (stainless steel), 2 new cats, 2 new lambda sensors, new water cooler, new oil sump gasket, new engine oil catch tank (Pro Alloy), parts of the hand brake replaced, front brake discs replaced, new brake lines front and rear, steering column reconditioned, front track rod ends replaced, fuel pump wiring optimized. Countless nuts and bolts on suspension, brakes and steering replaced and everything set up perfectly by the pro’s at Jetstream.
The Noble now drives as good as it looks and represents itself in an absolutely extraordinary condition. Without any doubt one of the best Noble M12 in Europe.
Nobody is perfect: History before 2012 not proven by invoices or service documentary. Low mileage is however credible according to Jetstream. Some stone chips at the front, 2 small imperfections in the paint work at the rear. Clutch is noisy (ceramic Motorsport part, normal according to Jetstream).
This car is German road registered (TÜV single type approval with Euro 3 emission classification). Road registration in most other countries will be easier with this certificate than with a UK road registration, because German regulations are amongst the toughest in Europe and Noble never supplied COC documents. Also, front and rear lights have been converted to right hand side traffic already.
Before the sale, a fresh service will be done. Also the accelerator cable will be replaced and a new front splitter will be installed as the old one had a crack.
