My wife “needs” a new kitchen and so I have agreed to part with my beloved Aston. There are a couple if important points I need to make in this advert – firstly, I recently replaced the clutch. If you know your Vantage’s, the clutch is an unknown risk this type of used car. I did a lot of research when my clutch died and eventually used a firm called David Appleby Engineering Ltd (look on line) to replace it – on their advice, I replaced the worn out clutch with a twin plate clutch with a custom lightweight flywheel that has the V12 Vantage organic twin plate clutch fitted. It’s designed for the more powerful V12 engine so is more hard wearing than the standard single plate V8 clutch. The point is; you won’t have to worry about wearing that out any time soon.
Secondly, I’m selling this car via Barr-Tech Specialist Cars because they are a reputable business with specialist knowledge of these cars and I trust them to look after whoever ends up buying my car and because they offer a warranted, which I think is another comfort for anyone buying a used car and I cannot offer that myself.
It really is a lovely car to drive, it sounds and looks fantastic and it still excites me to just have it, as much as it always did. The spec information is as follows:
It’s a Vantage 4. 3 V8 in Onyx Black with 19” 7 spoke alloy wheels and red calipers, 36, 398 miles on the clock and a full service history. Inside, it is leather Obsidian Black interior finished in silver stitching, Piano black veneer and has with High Speck alarm with Blue tooth phone and auxiliary inputs for the radio. Bright finish grille / HID headlamps / auto dimming rear view mirror / satnav / heated seats / rear parking sensors. My criticisms, if I had to make them, name plates in the door sills are still the original owners and there is a slight distortion on the leather on the corner of one part of the dash – otherwise, just beautiful.
