Descrição
Great example of this East German iconic car. Made of steel and Duroplast, a cotton and resin mix used as a cheap, light material for the panels. the engine is 2 cylinder, air cooled 2 stroke with a 4 speed gearbox plus reverse. Freewheel facility on 4th gear to aid engine lubrication which is 50 to 1 premix when fuelling. This car runs and drives like it should and is ready for the road. It has the spare wheel fixed under the boot area, a modification by a previous owner, to make more room in the boot area. Original jack and wheelbrace are included. This car is my 7th Trabant in 3 years, and I have regularly displayed them at shows where they receive more than their share of attention from other owners and the public due to the quirky construction and layout.
An added bonus to this car is that it was used in the 2015 film production of The Man from UNCLE, and the documented provenance and number plates used in the film are included in the sale. Also documents re NOVA declaration and dating evidence from the UK IFA club, and current MoT document are included for application to DVLA for a UK registration plate.
I can also deliver the car at the buyer's expense to anywhere in mainland UK by arrangement.
