mk1 - 1957
the dauphine is a model from renault, built between 1956 and 1967.
it was the successor of the 4 cv. This is a 1957 renault dauphine export model and was registered on the 1 / 1 / 1957 !
this car still retains its original 845 cc, 4 cyl, 32 hp.
i bought the car last year and as you can see it's in very good solid original overall condition.
the car runs and drives with all gears selecting perfectly.
straight doors with no rot - working lights and all gauges working.
the interior is simply stunning as is new headlining - the sunroof is also functioning !
theres something about these cars that are so magical - i bought this for myself as i've always wanted one
but due to too many projects she is now available for sale
this car is a solid complete running project.
the breaks need some work but do stop and the car has been driven on the uk roads.
in my opinion the engine could do with a refurb / rebuild - the car runs nicely and will reach 50mph easy
but eventually its gets hot and overheats eventually (all the dials work !) so you can see the temperatures progress.
but the car is running and driving and could be driven away although i would suggest trailering away
so here we a beautiful and driving renault dauphine
that really deserves the extra time and love that i currently cannot give it.
it's solid - very original - straight - running - complete and missing no parts !
