1937 New Imperial Model 23 150 cc Four stroke Lightweight , Presented in restored condition with supporting record of this and photographs . Beautiful condition . The dynamo has recently been refurbished and a new battery fitted . It starts easily and appears to run extremely well . Supplied with the original registration number , Buff log book , Old tax discs and petrol coupons . along with service manuals . The Model 23 was based on an unconventional prototype, first seen in 1932, which carried its valve gear behind the cylinder. The production Model 23 was more conventional , Unit construction of the engine/ gearbox, geared primary drive and coil ignition. Qualifying for a reduced rate of road tax for up-to-150cc machines, the Model 23 was a big success for New Imperial and continued in production until 1940.
