For sale, my lovely Rover 3. 5 V8 Coupe .
What can I say, she took 2nd place in the P5B Coupe Class at Roverfest in 2017 and she is solid as a rock thanks to a very well done restoration over 12 years ago, followed by a good coating of waxoyl.
The car was excellent when I purchased her several years ago from a Rover P5 Club area rep, I spent further time having the new leaf springs set to correct ride height, with the centre propshaft bearing aligned perfectly to ensure a vibration free take off , as the car also earns her keep as a stunning wedding car.
She is fitted with Lumenition for reliability and has never missed a beat. She is also fitted with Spax adjustable shocks all round and a full stainless exhaust system plus a pair of unleaded heads, The previous owner also had a new BW auto box fitted , this really is set up to be one of the smoothest gear changes I've known. The interior carpets were replaced during the restoration and are as new, the seats are still original and while showing a little age ( stitching opened on 3inch seat base seam ), really do suit the car . I could never bring myself to fit new replacements and lose the history of the car, she is almost 50 years old and she wears it well.

My only reason for selling is the fact that I could do with a little more space, I wanted a mint Zircon Blue P5b for forty years, I was lucky enough to have owned one now it is time to move on to something different when my other projects are finished and also gain some space!

The power steering box drips as is std P5b, but as she drives so nicely and as straight as a die, that I have been more than happy to live with it. Rebuilt boxes tend to drip again anyway. She is not 100% perfect, show me a fifty year old car that is, but if you are looking for a solid, reliable & excellent condition car that is a head turner and a real pleasure to drive, then buy it before someone else beats you to it.. But.. please don't come down intent on trying to find every little fault that you can, with a couple of made up ones for good measure, just to knock down the price if the car is that bad, why even think about buying it ?.. it's just boring and I really don't want you to waste your petrol.
If you don't feel happy at what you get for you money, fair enough, I have absolutely no problem, just don't waste your time and mine tyre kicking
The previous owner who restored her never had it on the road in the winter, I have carried that tradition on and for the winter months she sits in an airy garage soaked in WD40. Hence the excellent condition of the car including the chrome work and Rostyle wheels
The car is very fairly priced for a P5B of this std that is extremely solid and fully sorted. She took 2nd place for V8 Coupes at Roverfest in 2017 and is still in the same condition.
I did purchase a SH steering box when I first bought the car, but never felt the need to fit it, this pump will also be included as will the cover and factory workshop manuals, badge bar, and a few other spares if asking price is agreed. The car is also fitted with a non contract GPS tracking system to track from phone or PC . She also has a covert towbar fitted for taking my Trojan bubble car to shows (This is also for sale soon )
