This is not a caterham. This brooke double r cosworth shares the same 2. 3l cosworth duratec engine as the caterham csr 260. the quality of this car is every bit as good as a caterham, maybe better in areas. Its also much, much more rare and interesting than any caterham!

a very rare car with it being chassis number 1 of just 9 in the world and this very car was the press car that appeared in all the top motoring magazines such as top gear, evo, autocar, octane etc. I have a comprehensive file showing all of these articles aswell as personal letters from various jouralists writing to the last owner about their memories of the car. All magazines gave excellent reviews of this car in terms of performance, handling, quality, and fun. 14 years later, this is still easy to see as soon as you see or drive the car.
it is mid engined and powered by a 2. 3 duratec cosworth engine producing 260 bhp which gives 500 bhp per tonne. Resulting in 0-60 mph in 3. 1 seconds and 0-100 in 7. 8 seconds. It is geared for 155mph. This car is fast!
the gear change is on the right hand side just like a classic single seater! Also there is a stack instrumemt display with lap timing.
there are fully adjustable dampers all round. The car is set up perfectly for fast road use. It handles superbly and you can have plenty of confidence in it as it feels predictable and planted. It also has great capabality of riding bumps more smoothly than youd expect. Speed bumps arent really an issue either. It really is a very well sorted car.
during its life this brooke has been driven down to the le mans 24hrs 3 times. Proving it is relaible, and comfortable enough to do such journeys. Also included is a very well fabricated suitcase sized box which attaches above the engine cover. Something that has been done very well by the previous owner and clearly been thought about.
