Austin A40 Farina Mk1. Excellent basis for an easy restoration, very original car with no signs of welding. All of the underside including spring hangers are all very good. There are some areas that will require attention. The two front footwells in the corners where it meets inner arches, n/ s sill, & will require a patch to both rear inner arches. The front valance is a bit crusty. The rest of the car is very original & solid. The gearbox is in place but a- series 998cc engine been removed for painting etc, though ran fine when removed. (not original to the car) . Complete bar starter motor, carb and grill/ boot badges. Interior good for age., It has a new brake master cylinder & boot lid which has been powder coated. Obviously tax and mot exempt.
I had planned on fully restoring this little Austin but can't ever see me getting to it. I've also come to the conclusion , being of large build, that its too small, I can barely close the door when i'm sat in it... V5 and heritage certificate present. I may be able to assist with delivery, its normally around £1. 20 per mile. so please ask for a quote. I'm not in a rush to sell, dont really need to and already in two minds. Would make a great little modified pocket rocket, or keep original... I could possibly consider a swap or p/ ex either way on something larger and already roadworthy.. I like volvos, Fords, British leyland, American, etc . Cash either way, but would prefer a cash sale. Can send more pics via email if needed.
