Welcome to the sale of this beautiful BSA Blue Star from 1936.
As you can see the motorcycle is in lovely condition, an earlier restoration that now gives it the perfect patina. The bike is a rideable one and I have used her sparingly when the weather is fine. But remember she’s from 1936, brakes/ lights were a little different then.
If you wanted her concourse it’s would not take much doing. The bike has been a show winner in the past. She has been kept in doors since my ownership.
She has a lovely history. The bike was owned by the mechanic at Cyril Morgan’s dealership Caerphilly in Wales in the 1930’s. The bike still has its original dealer badge. A gentleman then purchased the bike in the 80’s and restored her. Photos of the dealership are included along with earlier pictures of the bike and other details.
A key to the bikes history and value are it has its original engine/ frame numbers, it’s original buff log book that confirms these details, and also its original number plate, (blacked out in photos)
This is a great chance to own a piece of motorcycle history, a lovely running bike in great condition with original history.
These bikes were very popular in their time (BSA’s 5th best seller) and went onto to become the Empire Star. This actual year (1936) she was slightly modified and sold along with the Empire Star and renamed the ‘New Blue Star’ Q21. So was only made as this for one year only. The bike has various manuals and rare brochure. Original Tool kit and Tyre inflator.
I am in no rush to sell this bike, so please no silly offers. I am not a dealer, I just have a few bikes I enjoy, this being the best of them. Another project (not motorcycles) needs financing. You are welcome to view the bike. But it will not go anywhere unless fully paid for. I’ve sold and bought several bikes in the past so I know the need for caution.
