Descrição
1957 commodore 250cc two stroke single, with its original 3 letter/ 3 number Cornish registration ( transferable I believe ) I have owned it for 5 years, it is registered in my name, I purchased it dismantled in boxes, it has since been bare metal stripped, epoxy primed and refinished, I have invoices for many seals, bushes, bearings, primary chain and springs all fitted, there is a new secondary chain ( unfitted ) and original handbook ( which has been a great help ), unfortunately other (4 wheeled-I am not really a biker) projects have got in the way and I am recognising that I have lost interest . I don’t think it would take a tremendous amount to get it on the road, it will definitely need fork seals and electrics sorting, both of the side panels and the seat are missing ( these do come up on eBay although my default mode was always to fabricate something ) otherwise I believe it is 99% complete . The number plate was valued at £1000 a year ago although I believe that locally it is worth a fair bit more ( search of a local number plate dealers revealed no Cornish 3 letter/ 3number registrations for less than £1550 ) I think the price fairly reflects this, whilst I am not a fan of splitting old vehicles from original registrations I realise that at some stage this is a likely possibility, there’s probably a fair bit I have forgotten, please ask if you want to know . If it isn’t sold, it will get finished just not sure when !
