A restored and very smart Fordson Super Dexta,
The Super Dexta, the successor to the Dexta, has a powerful 3 cylinder Perkins diesel engine, the same unit as fitted to the contemporary Massey Ferguson 35. The hydraulics are advanced with position control and draft control, and the tractor has a live PTO, making it easy to use with any implement. In addition it has an automatic pick-up hitch for painless hitching of trailers.
This tractor was fully and properly restored about three years ago, with care being taken to keep it to original specification. It is painted in the correct Empire Blue and orange. Parts fitted included four new tyres; new electrics/ loom; new dynamo and starter motor; new instruments.
Since restoration the tractor has been used mainly for 'topping'. I estimate about 20 hours work in total. It starts very easily without the need for priming. The engine is smooth and powerful and holds the correct temperature under all conditions. Hydraulics work perfectly.
The tractor is road-registered and I have the V5 in my name.
