Original James Whiting Caterham Fireblade.
One of first 24 Fireblade engined cars commissioned by Caterham and developed by James Whiting. Powered by a Honda CBR900RR Fireblade engine (with over 130bhp and revs to 10, 500rpm) and weighing in at under 400kg, these cars have a power to weight ratio of over 325bhp per ton.
These cars gained 'virtual legendary status' on Gran Turismo and the Guinness World Record for driving in reverse, but more importantly it was EVO's Track Car of the Year and the ultimate embodiment of Colin Chapman's ethos of "Performance Through Lightweight". To drive such a light weight car on well setup throttle bodies is sublime, whether it be on B-road blasts or on track!

Specifics of this car are:
- Honda Fireblade 919cc engine (last of the carb. engines, fitted with Dynojet kit and K&N filterbox)
- Pace/ Nova dry sump system.
- Six speed sequential gearbox with uprated PDQ plates and Barnett springs.
- Nova mechanical reverse box (with the main gearbo gives 6 reverse gears!).

Painted in Honda Championship white, with Honda and Caterham badges, this car has a traditional look of a road car with a hardcore trackday car ability underneath
I've owned this car for over 6 years and covered just over 3, 000 miles with a mix of road a track and the car has performed flawlessly.
Current odo reads around 8k on the clock, but I believe this was changed out due a fault in 2008 at around 5k miles, hence the mileage is around 13k mile.
As wells as being an amazing car to drive; this is a truely unique car, in original spec from factory and a small piece of Caterham history (and Bike Engined Car folklore).
