Beschreibung
This very rare Tatra T87 built in 1945 (first serie with central tubular headlight) was delivered new in Prague in 1947 and has always been used during 50 years until it went for a full, extensive restoration from 2009 to early 2012 by Ecorra, the world famous expert restorer of T87 in Koprivnice (CZ). The history of the car is well known with the original documentation of the Czechoslovak Administration. It’s matching number and was regularly driven from the end of the restoration (around 7000 km with the same owner and a constant maintenance). Restoration gallery is of course available. It shows an extensive work form the chassis and a bare metal bodywork. Around 3000 hours were spent on the car including 2000 hours only for the bodywork. Electrics, hydraulics and oil circuit are of course completely new. Engine and gearbox were completely dismantled to the last nut and bolt and reconstructed like new when it left the factory.
It participated to different classic car events including Rétromobile Paris 2020 Tatra show and is eligible to the most famous Concours d’Elegance and Shows all around the world. This car was also presented in several French classic car magazines.
The car is in a pristine condition : perfect fitting of body panels, perfect paint, upholstery, mechanics, equipment, chromes. Every detail, even hidden, correspond to what it should be on a T87. Absolutely authentic. The only modernization comes from a modernized oil filter, easier to change and more efficient and modern turn signal (doubled with the original and delicious original arrows system which can be disactivated).
It drives perfectly and allows long trips, especially on motorways where an average speed of 120 km/ h is easily reachable and comfortable.
