Fitted with a sliding sunshine roof, this delightful early Post-War 8 is in very good order throughout. The underside is excellent and well protected. The bodywork gleams and has only a couple of minor blemishes to detract whilst the interior is delightfully original with the benefit of later carpets in blue. The chromework presents well.
The Sliding Roof works nicely as does the opening windscreen for Forties style air conditioning. The trafficators work well and modern indicators are fitted for safety. To make room for your picnic hamper, the boot lid can be left open and the number plate drops down to enable it to be still seen.
The Austin bombs along merrily and recent works including a complete brake overhaul and the rear springs being re-tempered, mean that it drives very well.
