Gaz 69 military 4 x4 in good original condition and running order. 1958.
The Gorky motor vehicle factory produced type 67 jeeps immediately following the second world war, having received supplies of Ford jeeps from the USA which could be copied.
The Engine was basically a beefed-up version of the Ford model A sidevalve.
Production moved to Julianov and the Russian Engineers designed the 69 type jeep as a stronger, more robust multi-purpose vehicle in the early 1950s. 2. 1 litre sidevalve engine.
It carried eight persons, but also could mount rockets, mobile field guns and carry incredible loads for its compact size.
This Gaz has been painted some time ago and has flashing indicators fitted, but otherwise is completely original and in running order. Massively over engineered, it is equipped with two oil filters, oil cooler, subsidiary petrol tank and has the original six seater rear compartment with gun stores beneath, the hood is faded but usable and the sidescreens have new glass panels. Registered with V5 and original museum registration document from Czechoslovakia.
It has not moved since March (we are still under shielding instruction) and the collection of cars is being thinned down. The price is as stated, but offers will be considered with a sale date no later than 17th. September please. Please telephone the details below for further information. Thank you.
