Garaged for much of its life and used sparingly by its 2 owners.
History
Supplied new by Lewis BMW Cornwall in September 1988 to its first owner who covered a total of 17, 000 miles. The running-in inspection was completed at 1268 miles . He then continued to have the car serviced twice by the suppling dealer at 6644 then 14, 437 miles . The car was then sold in August 1990 by Lewis BMW again, which is confirmed by the sales invoice present in the history file. This owner kept the car for the next 30 years. In his time the car continued to be serviced by Lewis BMW at 22k, 28k including the cambelt, 34k and then taken to Ocean BMW Falmouth at 38, 640. The car was then looked after by the owners local garage RC Harding Penzance and regularly MOT’d but barely used and always kept in dry storage.
Condition
The general condition of the car is remarkable with only the lightest of blemishes to the exterior, it remains totally original. The windscreen is original and has two small chips, all glass and headlamps are also original and show the registration number etched into them, along with the dealer sticker and number plates. The seats, headlining, driver controls and dash are all in excellent condition showing virtually no wear. The wheel wells, sills and arches are in excellent order with no signs of corrosion.
Performance
To drive, the car offers a pure and satisfying driving experience. It feels tight and precise in both the gearchange and handling, the straight six is smooth and allows ample power to compliment the perfectly balanced e30 chassis.
A full service and has just been carried out using correct parts, the cambelt and auxiliary belts have been renewed along with new ignition cables and fuel pump
This has to be one of the best preserved e30’s available and a unique opportunity to acquire one the very few ever produced in Mineral blue.
