1971 RANGE ROVER CLASSIC SUFFIX A - PROJECT
We are currently having a good tidy up of a lot of our vehicles that are sitting in the queue that are realistically not going to get started for some time yet due to other builds that are on the go.
The vehicle in question is a super desirable suffix a so 1971 registered car that we purchased a few months back .
It is basically a rolling chassis with a bare shell but has some wiring present and heater box etc.
The reason I bought this vehicle is it has the makings of a great project as it needs virtually zero welding - a full front end has already been fitted. The only 2 things that the shell needs in my professional opinion is a couple of repairs to the side panels just behind the front doors (there were previously speaker cut outs in there which have been welded up and the welds are not perfect) these will be covered by the exterior wings in any instance but I like my cars perfect! . The rear top rails that the windows sit on have some corrosion and that is it!
All the usual issues that need addressing such as rear crossmember, body mounts, sills , arches, footwells are perfect. Anyone who has previously built one of these cars will understand how time consuming and expensive all of these works are so this is a great benefit to what will be a relatively straight forward restoration.
A restored body shell alone sells for a small fortune which makes this car exceptionally good value and the like of which will probably never ever be available again.
Everything that you can see in the pictures is what you are buying. Nothing more nothing less.
It is a 4 owner vehicle that comes with a current uk v5 registration document , passport to service book and chassis plate.
The chassis is in very good condition also and requires no obvious welding. It is fully rolling and complete with axles, wheels etc so will move very easily for loading purposes.
I do have a contact who has a period correct suffix a engine for sale relatively inexpensively and I am happy to put any interested parties in touch with him.
