Ducati 748R restored 2010 converted to 853cc by CJS Racing with custom 129BHP remap
This bike started life in 2001 as a “normal” 748R number 710.
By July 2010 it had done 11911miles (just 1000mile a year) when the previous owner bought it. we have some of the service history for this time. Chassis and Engine numbers are correct.
The previous owner then fully restored the bike. It was converted to 853cc by CJS racing, with a custom remap. Also at this time the bike was resprayed using standard colours with airbrushed decals. The rear swing arm, frame, rear hub carrier were also repainted original colours.
In the rebuild the following was installed.
Polished 50mm Termingoni carbon pipes with 45-50mm straight through link.

Pazzo levers

Samco yellow hose kit
New oil cooler with goodridge cam feed lines
Repainted the radiator
Titanium rear subframe bolts
Stainless rear swing arm bolts
Oberon clutch slave cylinder
JHP clutch cover with new plates
Renthal chain with quick release sprockets.

Converted by CJS racing and custom mapped at 129. 18bhp, 62. 99ft/ lb torque with the following.
Engine blueprint including crank, rods, piston and flywheel
Ducati 748R ultimate head conversion including colsibro valve guides
New big end bearings
New crank and gearbox shims
New head gasket kit including valve stem seals
New cross shaft bearings
New stepped keys for cam timing
New base gaskets to set piston head clearance
New valve shims
New Pistal 853 pistons
New valve collets
Cylinders honed
New bearing caps
New pair of main bearings
History:
Bike was purchased in 2015. It has been serviced by Ducati since, with one year off the road (last year). The most recent service was 8/ 4/ 21 (last week) including belts changed and new tyres fitted. The above rebuild and conversion was done in late 2010 and since the bike has covered around 4500miles. Bike runs on 15W50 oil. Because of the rebuild there are no cam follower issues often associated with the 748.
Having said all this, the recent service and new tyres came to over £1100. This bike is a concourse piece of moto art. The back history is evidence based.
The cover and the stand are included. We have the manual, but no service book, however there are lots of receipts. There are two keys. Remember this bike has only done 4500 miles since a full rebuild.
It is sublime to ride, has monster torque, is hugely rev-able, has suspension to float over UK roads and steering that is pinpoint. It also sounds like thunder, popping on the overrun just enough to let people know you are coming.
