I’m selling my lovely Saab 9000 CSE Anniversary. It has been enthusiast owned for 9 years. I bought it in 2015 from the private Saab collection of the owner of “Trent Saab” near Nottingham. It has a full Saab specialist/ main dealer service history and is in top condition mechanically/ electrically. Absolutely everything works as it should. I am fortunate enough to have another car as my daily driver, so the 9000 never went out on salted roads in winter (and rarely in the rain either). I’ve also waxoyl’ed it every 2 to 3 years. I’ve run it exclusively on super unleaded fuel (to help maintain the engine) and fully synthetic Mobil engine oil.
In my ownership, I had fitted a BSR stainless steel exhaust. It is very discreet and and not any louder than the standard exhaust, although it has a nice reserved “burble”.
There are some superficial marks on the bodywork. The nearside front wing has a scratch, as does the drivers door and nearside passenger door. The offside wing is excellent. The nearside front wing is sound but has some marks (I repaired a small rust patch a couple of years ago). I have 2 replacement front wings in mica blue metallic which have the very rare black “Anniversary badge” on them and are in excellent condition, which I would sell also if interested. The underside is very sound, as are the A-pillars and rear suspension mounts. Structural bodywork is excellent. It also has cruise control and the “Saab car computer” in the dash which replaces the analogue clock which were not standard on the Anniversary and are nice additions. The interior is in excellent condition with only very minor marks and some light wear on the driver’s seat bolster. Electric heated seats both work. Tyres are Michelin Cross Climates with a lot of life in them. Alloy wheels also in super condition.
It has an extensive history file with details of work completed in the past 10 years, service history book, 2 original keys, owners manual, Saab safely leaflet for the cabin. It has an original Saab ‘Clarion’ Radio cassette head unit and single slot CD below, but I can also include an after-market Pioneer radio/ CD system that it came with (and the connecting leads) should the owner wish to change.
Work includes many of the items that need replacing on a 9000, including:
New water pump
New tailgate and bonnet gas struts
New engine upper torque mounts
New heater matrix
Front offside brake calliper, new rear brake calipers
Crankcase ventilation system non-return valve
New headlight reflectors and headlight tie-rods
New flasher relay and repaired headlight relay
new ABS sensor (offside rear)
New fuel tank straps
New tension belt pulleys
New Exhaust flexi section (and also new BSR stainless exhaust from flexi section rearwards)
Electric aerial
New relays fitted to central locking controller
Fuel vent hose replaced
In addition this summer: the Coolant was flushed and replaced , a full brake and clutch fluid change carried out, and the aircon serviced and gas topped up.
