Description
For sale is my cherished 1991 \MK1 import Eunos Roadster J-LTD in stunning Sunburst (HZ) yellow. Imported and registered with the DVLA on 20th July 1998.
This car was built in Japan for the Japanese Domestic Market in 1991. Only 800 were made. They came fitted with the wooden Nardi wheel, gear knob and hand brake handle. As an import it has electric windows and power steering as expected. It also has the 114bhp 1. 6 high compression engine.
It has the original 14” daisy alloy wheels and has a Mohair roof with vinyl zip out window. The roof has the additional straps for the glass window, should you wish to switch out the vinyl window.
The stereo is a single din bluetooth mp3 stereo which connects to your phone for calls and music and has a USB and memory card slot, along with the door speakers were fitted 4 years ago. Below the stereo it has been fitted with the correct sized cubby box below, so there are no gaps. There is a small bit of fascia missing on the stereo over the release hole (see picture).
It includes the original Japanese flare that clips in under the glove box. This is because Japanese cars did not have fog lights and adds a nice touch for car shows and those after originality. To be UK legal, the fog light is wired into the off side reverse lamp position and has a red LED buld fitted. This means there is no unsightly red fog light low down on the bumper
This is a really well presented car and has been stored in the garage during the 4 years in my ownership and only came out in good weather, ‘high days and holidays’!
In 2007, it was classified as a CAT C, however, it was so long ago, the insurance company no longer have any details on record. Having had the car inspected, it is most likely to have been a damaged body panel, (a panel repair/ replace and respray in 2007 which when the car was at it's lowest value, at that time would not have been economical for an insurance company to repair.
There is evidence of welding underneath on the offside in a few places, but for a 30 year old MX5, this isn't unusual. The underneath has been sealed.
The car has been valued at £4500, taking into account its history (without the Cat C, it would've been more like £6500).
The mileage is currently 90, 007KM, which when converted is 55, 927. 8 miles.
This model can only appreciate in value and is a real head turner.
