This is a stunning VW camper has been subject of a bare shell restoration that was carried out between 2017-2019. The VW had previously been in long tern ownership. VW was laid up in the owners garage in Leeds but by 2014, a decision was made to get the VW back on the road. It was submitted for an MOT and failed miserably. Over the next couple of years a home restoration commenced but by 2016, the owner decided to move the VW onto a new home.
In 2017 the came arrived with malton coach works in a very poor state. The VW was sold to a long term customer in northern Ireland and a £40, 000 program or work was commissioned. The camper was stripped to a bare shell and completely sand blasted. The body was rebuilt with verious panels both inside and outside, and underneath. The VW then had its engine and gearbox cleaned checked and refitted and the general mechanical were fully overhauled throughout.
The camper has spent a couple of years with its northern Ireland owner, who has enjoyed local mileage in the vehicle. Having had some fun in this VW. he has now part exchanged it for a modern Bentley continental GT. The VW arrives back with us at classic and sport scar centre with stunning bodywork and paint, a gorgeous re-trimmed upholstery and is driving superbly.
