Selling my 1987 Ford Fiesta 1. 1 L
Mileage believed to be 117k, the MOTs I can see obviously show it at 17k.
The car is currently registered as a 1. 1 with LPG conversion, the original engine is seized and I replaced it (& removed all the LPG) with a 1. 3 HCS engine with EDIS so no coil and distributor to mess with. It also has a brand new Webber 26/ 28 twin choke carburettor fitted. It is cooled by a MK3 fiesta radiator, I haven't fitted a fan as it's never got hot enough so never bothered. The engine has covered approximately 65, 000 miles. The original 1. 1 will come with the car, it's in the process of being rebuilt but I don't know how much has been done until I get it back. Few other bits and pieces as well.
The following work has been carried out within the last 3 years and 700 miles.
- Strip down and respray in Mercury Grey.
- All required welding underneath done. For a MK2 it's a really solid shell.
- Fully poly bushed front to back including exaust hangers.
- Front and rear -60mm shocks and springs.
- New LUK clutch kit.
- New mild steel exhaust front to back.
- MK4 escort Recaro seats (the drivers side has been rebuilt professionally with a genuine membrane underneath).
- Freshly powdercoated XR2 Pepperpots with brand new Nankang tyres.
Want a few interior bits finishing off but it's a good solid base that's ready to drive and enjoy.
Probably forgot loads but it's pretty much been completely rebuilt over the last few years.
Obviously not the most powerful car in the world but it handles like it's on rails and is such fun to drive. I just don't have the time to enjoy it like I thought I would.
It will have 12 months clean MOT if I sell it.
