gearbox rebuilt in 2010 at 80k. Various other things like driveshafts were replaced around this time, too.
the car drives very well. The auto box changes when it should and the tiptronic mode locks up as it should, making it far more wieldy on winding roads than you might initially think. It was serviced at 131k, when it requested a service. Receipts for the parts are included, as i self-service my vehicles. This included changing the fuel filter, which often gets overlooked. It has also had front discs and pads, rear pads and a new rear caliper in the 12 months before being dry stored from march 2020. i also identified a slight coolant weep at the back of the engine and replaced the o-ring, temperature sensor and clip with new genuine parts.
it has a matched set of goodyear efficient grip tyres, with plenty of tread, on the standard 18” wheels. One has a small ding in the rim, but overall the rims and tyres are in good condition.
the paintwork and trim are generally in good condition, charitably reflecting the age and miles on the car.
the audio system works as it should and the satnav also works, although (despite updates) it is not very current and is not user friendly. There is an excellent bluetooth handsfree and streaming module added by a previous owner. The mic wasn’t fed up and into the roof lining and i’ve resisted doing this to avoid disturbing 19 year old trim clips.
i bought the car two years ago, because it’s been a car i’ve wanted to own since seeing ronin about 20 years ago. I was also doing more motorway miles, in a different job. That's now changed, so this isn't getting used.
