1970 Bond Bug 700es

I bought this bond bug a few years ago and have spent the last few summers and lockdown to make this into a nice one, when I bought it the car had been found in a council garage where it had stood since since the early 2000s, the family had known their father owned Bond Bugs but hadn't realised he'd saved one until they went to empty the garage.
Ive spent thousands on it since purchasing the bug, the interior has the original Bond seat covers but they've had new foam, new chrome fixings, its had the edges of the covers re-enforced as they like to rip and ive had the steering column and knee pad recovered in new vinyl aswell.
Ive tried to make sure the car has all the original trim fitted as it would of had from new - you'll notice on alot of bugs now they have got new covers without Bond written on them and are missing the whole steering column cover, mud flaps front grill or have different wing mirrors and wheels fitted - this bug has them all and period correct. I even fitted the chrome trim on the canopy that is the same as a classic london taxi and is a real pain to fit.
The chassis is all good and solid which is one of the reasons why I bought it and the king pin is nice and tight without any play.
Other new, original or upgraded items are:
New heater box with new matrix
New distributor with electronic ignition and uprated coil
Coil re-positioned as they get hot in the engine bay
SU carb with brand new drip tray and overflow for better safety
Original Bond rocker cover
Uprated aluminium free flow radiator
Reliant expansion tank for cooler running
Carb pre heater set up for smoother running
Titanium clutch release bearing and new clutch
Ive included two photos showing the slide on side screens which it also has, these had new plastic heat sinked into the frames.
The engine was upgraded by the last owner and its a 750cc engine but it is a original Bond Bug 750 unit as it is stamped as such and isn't a Reliant Regal or Robin engine. Its a bit more powerful than the 700.
It drives lovely and stops very well as I fitted new cylinders and shoes all round. Ive used it for local shows and you get so much attention just driving it down the road, im selling it now as im 69 and I struggle to get in and out of it.
Its MOT and TAX exempt but I put a fresh mot on the car for my own peace of mind
Ive fitted plenty more parts but its far too much to list such as tyres, exhaust and such, anyone is welcome to come and see the car and im open to reasonable offers, thanks for reading
