This superb Pinzgauer has just been through the workshops of renowned Pinzgauer specialists SGB All Terrain where it was completely checked over and had the following new items fitted-
Timing belt kit
Track rod end and steering linkage kit
Gear linkage kit
Water pump
2x batteries
Exhaust silencer
All fluids replaced in the axles/ transmission/ engine
Filter kit
Stage 2 turbo upgrade
New MOT
The SGB Stage 2 turbo upgrade is almost essential on a Pinzgauer as they do seem to struggle in standard form as power levels were kept to a minimum to prevent too many squaddie incidents! I was told by two experts to only go for an ex radio version due to the very easy life they led compared to the troop carrying gun tractor variants which often towed a lot of weight and saw very hard usage in service.
This 716 still retains all of it's original military fittings, including a very useful quick release aluminium roof rack/ standing platform which would make an excellent mount for a roof tent. Never painted or spruced up. Totally rust free and in exceptional condition throughout.. These Pinzgauer's really are very impressive vehicles to drive and the ride would put many saloon cars to shame. Cost new in excess of £100k!.. fitted with twin crown wheels per axle, air suspension, power steering, portal axles and front and rear diff locks. A really superb piece of Austrian engineering..
