The most sought after Volvo P1800 is probably 1963 and 1964 when they where built in Sweden. And still had the beautiful cow horn bumpers, egg carton grill etc. And here is the classic white just like Simon Templar drove and made this car famous to the world.
Exterior: This Volvo P1800S has a very nice ride height and is level. The restoration of this car took place 2007-2010 and at that time all body panels that normally rust on these cars where replaced. Front fenders, rocker panels, floor, and rear fenders. And the car was repainted to the original white colour. Wheels where sandblasted, painted and fitted with new tyres. A set of new hubcaps have been fitted recently. All aluminium trim and rubber where replaced. The bumpers are still in original state and look very nice.
Interior: The interior that was all new in 2010 has now just settled in to a perfect state. Things that are not so easy to restore in a Volvo P1800 is the gorgeous instruments and the aluminium panels. In this Volvo P1800S they are just perfect! A time period radio can be seen on the dashboard, but it is not connected.
Engine: The engine and gearbox was also completely rebuilt in 2010 and the car has travelled approximately 7000km since. It has great power. The brakes including the original Girling MK brake booster is in perfect order.
History: The last owner had the car since 2007 and brought it in to the condition you see it today. It comes with original spare wheel and jack, handbook and a vast documentation. Invoices from parts and labour of restoration. Technical inspection documents, and full list of owners over the years. Volvo P1800 cars always had plenty of owners, but this car have had a fresh start with a comprehensive restoration. This is a Volvo P1800S in a very good state ready to jump in and drive away.
