1968 triumph rmb gentry (mg tf replica)
this is a 1968 triumph rmb gentry (mg tf replica) - the car was completed in 1981 and has been used on rare occasions up until 2016, but hasn’t been used in the last 5 years. It requires recommissioning; The engine runs but brakes will need refreshing and the car would need servicing throughly. Always garaged, work had started in 2016 to replace the interior but this hasn’t been finished so the seats and carpets will require refitting. Before me; The last owner had the car for over 30 years.
the body and underneath are all extremely solid, there is no rust, the floors and sills are rock solid and all chassis is perfect, the body panels are all in very good condition. There is the odd mark and scratch which is to be expected of a car of this age and the paintwork isn’t show quality but there is no dents or damage. The bumpers show signs of pitting but clean up presentable.
engine
the car is fitted with the original 1300cc triumph engine which runs but would require servicing and a new battery - the engine has covered 42k miles.
interior
the interior features tan leatherette seats with black trim cards, the interior had been partly stripped to retrim and would require finishing.
hood & wheels
the car has original mg steel wheels which are in great condition with good tyres, the hood was replaced around 10 years ago - it’s the standard black vinyl type in excellent condition complete with side windows.
this is a beautiful example of the rmb gentry which requires recommissioning and some tlc to bring her back on the road , the car is tax exempt and mot exempt.
