For sale i have my cb400 four which is currently in an unfinished state requiring only a little bit more effort to be finished and back on the road would be an ideal winter project ready for next summer!
selling due to having too many projects on the go, this has been a low priority on my list for a couple of years now and i hate to see it sit when someone could have it up and running in no time. It's been carefully dry stored in my garage and as such has zero signs of weathering or damage from neglect. Engine turns freely and has been rebuilt by a previous owner. I have not started it in my ownership as it has not yet reached that stage of the rebuild.
this bike has had thousands of pounds worth of david silvers spares spent on it with all the receipts to prove it. It really is an absolutely stunning example and will look amazing when finished and on the road.
i'll list off some things that are new and have been done so far...
brand new wheels, professionally respoked and trued straight
new wiring loom
new switch gear
new tyres
new oil filter (o-ring and filter bolt)
new air filter
new front forks and yokes (currently empty of fork oil and will need filling up when the time comes)
new front break caliper
freshly powder coated frame, looks stunning
new foot peg rubbers and kickstart rubber
new hand grips
new rear break drum
new spark plugs and caps
brand new seat
new throttle cables
working ignition with key
v5 present and in my name
below is a list of things that are either bad, need doing, or missing.
cam chain tensioner bolt
front break pads
battery
side panels need bringing back to life, intact but need repainting and new rubbers
tank has been sandblasted ready for painting, not tested for leaks but looks rock solid
seat hinge and plunger
fuel tank filler cap
chain
currently fitted with an aftermarket exhaust system, i polished it up but it is marked and damaged in places. Personally i would source an original and fit that instead.

there is a lot of other stuff i am probably forgetting but i will keep these lists updated with as much as possible. I have included a picture of all the the loose components and spares so please check that out. I also have a spare set of 550 carbs which will go with this bike as they are virtually the same.
here is a chance to own an easy project with 90% of the work done. With just a little bit more time and effort this will be on the road. I would have done it myself but my other motorbike is ural and it's problems seem to never end and have taken over my motorbiking life.
