This is my Lovely little CZ. I have owned it for several years, having bought it from a fellow Jawa CZ Club member.
It has an interesting history. The VIN plate is in Spanish. This is because it was originally intended for Argentina, but the Falklands War put a stop to that. ( The bike was built in 1982)
It was then sold in the UK by Coburn and Hughes. It still has their number plate on.
A year or so back I overbored the cylinders to take 350cc pistons. The heads were machined to match. This gives an enormous improvement over the somewhat soft original engine. When I got the bike it had a disc brake conversion (all standard JAWA CZ parts) but it just didn't look right. I fitted a Suzuki 19 inch front wheel with an 8 inch TLS brake. The disc type front fork slider is still fitted.
I have ridden this bike in the Moto Piston Rally in Spain, including the 5000 Curves and have taken it to Holland for the Dutch Jawa CZ Club's 25th Anniversary rally.
The bike also has a Vape 12v electrical system fitted. All in all it is a somewhat special and very rideable CZ. However I am lucky enough to own several bikes and have hardly ridden this one lately. Time for someone else to enjoy
