Here for sale is my original UK RHD 1965 Vw Beetle that’s had a complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration, over a period of several years.
Originally sold new to Scotland, this beetle has had an engine upgrade to a 1600 twin port, with a 12v alternator, Engle cam, external oil filter, electric fuel pump, Petronix ignition and finished with chrome tin ware.
The body has been fully restored including all rust cut out and replaced with steel panels, before being painted in original Ruby red which is correct for 1965. The floor plan has been sand blasted and painted in 2K black before being remarried with the body. The suspension has been lowered front and rear using the original parts which are totally reversible should you wish to.
The interior has been fully re-trimmed with a new carpet, headliner, seat foam and covers, the latter supplied by Newton Commercial. The seat belts have been upgraded to three point harnesses in the front and colour matched to the interior. Original glass all round with a rear pop out conversion.
The car has new tyres all round and original front wheels, with 8J banded steels on the rear. The bumpers front and rear are stainless steel along with new chrome trim on the sides and bonnet of the car.
Fully re-wired with a 12V conversion and retro fitted early snowflake style LED tail lights.
Fully rebuilt drum brakes all round with a dual circuit master cylinder upgrade.
The V5 is present and correct with the vehicle, this is a reluctant sale of this car due to another recent purchase.
