Lotus Elan S3 DHC, 1968. Fully restored in 2015 and just over 1, 000 since. Glorious condition throughout with a superb interior and a Colin Chapman steering wheel. Superbly rebuilt engine by Craig Beck Historic Race Engines and developing around 128bhp at 6, 500rpm and is both smooth and tractable. Cassette type water-pump set-up for ease of replacement. The engine has the SE cams so is a docile road engine. One of the prettiest S3 Elans we have seen for many years and it drives as good as it looks. Beautiful Carnival Red paintwork and door fitting in particularly sorted at the time of of the restoration. Aluminium fuel tank and all new fuel lines. Driveshaft conversion kit. Electronic ignition. New soft top and tonneau cover. An absolutely glorious example in all respects.
