1992 Toyota Celica ST185 GT-Four Carols Sainz Limited Edition – Number 2628
This is an original, un-molested UK model of the Carlos Sainz 185. 3 previous owners and has only covered 84, 000 miles. The car is UK registered however being over 30 years old is eligible for low importation € to Ireland / Europe.
To meet the FIA requirement for WRC, the homologation rally edition of 5000 units was launched in September 1991. Out of 5000 units, only 3000 Carlos Sainz’s were allocated to Europe. It’s anticipated that circa 1500 RHD models are left in Europe.
Mechanically perfect. The following works have recently been completed (with receipts to substantiate):
• New Clutch Kit.
• New Timing Belt kit.
• Rebuilt / refurbished ECU.
The interior is completed and has just been fully professionally cleaned. Immaculate.
The bodywork has flaws as expected from a 30+ year old car. It has just been professionally cleaned underneath, with all splashguards and bumpers removed. No rust was identified nor any evidence of previous welding – all floor plans are extremely original and solid (No underseal was applied). There are some signs of wear on the front arches and a number of small dents. While it would benefit from a respray, this isn’t absolutely required and is more than respectable for a few summers ahead!
Extensive history & paperwork with the car dating back 15+years.
This is the lowest milage CS on the market. Certain to be a £30K car imminently.
