Owned for the last 5 years, this very rare light commercial vehicle was fully rebuilt from a rust-free shell by the previous owner.
Fitted with a 2 litre Ford Pinto engine, 5 speed T9 gearbox and disc brakes, the Commer drives extremely well and keeps up with modern traffic.
Many new parts were fitted in the build including a custom-built exhaust manifold and propshaft, new Lucas P700 headlights and a rare, restored steering wheel in cream. It runs on Ford Mondeo 6J rims with specially adapted stock hubcaps and trim rings to retain the original look of the car.
Not to be confused with the Hillman Husky this Cob is a rare survivor that has been sensitively upgraded throughout with new and custom-built components to create a thoroughly useable and highly presentable classic commercial.
