Firstly, thank you for taking a look at my much loved and fairly rare S80 V8, in the striking titanium grey metallic colour. Due to lack of use it now needs a new home. Very presentable for a 15 year old car, super low mileage and very well maintained - just a couple of independent services by the previous owner, otherwise it’s been main dealers. Bodywork isn’t perfect (there are a few paint chips) but there are no rusty sills or frilly wheel arches, no panel dings and the pictures show how well the car scrubs up. I’ve had the car for 18 months and done 8k miles, it has had 2 main dealer services during that time and I’ve fitted all new tyres (all over 6mm tread) on brand new r-design 18” wheels. It had rear brakes disks and pads at the last service in March. The windscreen was leaking when I bought the car (a nice winter surprise) and that was sorted for free by my local Volvo main dealer - thankfully there was no damage caused by water ingress. Two new OEM, colour matched parking sensors fitted, plus a new set of number plates, as the MOT tester didn’t like the old ones (that were delaminating). The MOT also called out corrosion on the rear coil springs, but the main dealer (who had the ideal opportunity to sell me new ones) said they were fine. Just had the aircon properly replenished (I. e. evacuated and refilled with the correct refrigerant) - no signs of any leakage and ice cold, so all good there. Everything works as it should and the V8 rumble always brings a smile. Full leather, folding rear seats make it a versatile load Luger as well. MPG on average gives about 22-23, but on a longer run, mixing A road and Motorway I’ve had more than 28 mpg, which gave me 400 miles on a tank :-). Yes, it’s the top bracket for road tax, but at £1. 73 per day it’s less than the cost of a daily coffee and you get super-smooth, understated, reliable motoring with a great sound.
