I am selling my much loved renault 4. i have had her (rena) for two years. She is in fantastic original condition and has done less than 1000 miles a year since new. I bought her from a chap in kent, who had her for 6 years at his holiday home in france, where he had purchased her from a lady in his local village. He re-registered her in uk and i bought her 2 years ago.
i have flushed the oil & cooling systems, replaced all ignition components., removed and flushed the heater and overhauled the carburetor. The cylinder pressures are all at manufacturer levels. She has not been converted for unleaded. The chap before me changed the original black interior for a period correct ox blood one. I have been all over/ under this car and she is in incredible original condition. The only area of corrosion i have found are a slight pin-pricking in the top of the front-right wing caused by collection of mud on the inside. I have cleaned that out and treated it so it is not progreesing any more. The lady in france did have a minor argument with a bollard doing some very minor damage to the front right wing and door (i have tried to capture this in a photo). i only have minimal paperwork on her, which was from the kent owner (registration and mots). the chassis is in exceptional condition and i can send pictures of specific areas of interest if needed. She is always kept under cover and always starts straight away. She has only been used by me for recreational trips to coffee shops etc. And always get favourable comments when she's out in public. She comes with a load of spares i inherited with her along with haynes manuals. The only reason i am selling is that i need the money to replace my day-to-day car.
