Beautiful, rare Black 1983 MK1 Vauxhall Astra GTE for sale.
According to 'how many left' there are only 9 registered in the UK.
The car is Mot'd till January 23 with no advisories and the mileage is 40868 which is absolutely genuine being with the same previous keeper for 33 years.
The car was only used from 1987 to 1993 and then garaged and not on the road again till 2020 when it was bought from the late owners estate and completely refurbished to a very high standard. The car is not perfect but it is extremely good with excellent panel fit/ shut lines. The car had a complete glass out respray and any rust areas were cut out and metal welded in to provide a great finish for a 39 year old Vauxhall. I have photos of all the work that was completed. The paint on the bonnet is not quite as good as the rest of the car but still has a deep gloss shine. You will not see the small imperfections in the photos but on close inspection they are slightly noticeable.
Being off the road for 27 years the car came with no service history but the engine was completely recommissioned in 2020 with new oil, filters, plugs, timing belt, brake calipers, brake discs, new exhaust, battery and pads etc and l have just had the car serviced again and have invoices for all the work done since 2020. The car drives really well with no further expense required. It will be MOT exempt next May.
The car has had 6 owners in total from new and is in it's original specification and completely unmolested with the original immaculate alloys wheels with no kerbing and Toyo Proxes tyres in perfect condition.
The original seats are in superb condition with no bolster wear, the rest of the interior is equally good and the grey carpets are like new. The original Sony 400 stereo is in the car(not wired up) There are no nasty after market speaker cut outs and the carpeted parcel shelf is intact.
The car is HPI clear.
