Caterham 7, Registered 1991, 1700cc Ford Crossflow engine built by Scholar Engineering.
Mot May 2023
Delivered by Caterham in 1990, built by myself in 1990/ 1, first registered on the 1st August 1991. I sold it around 12 years later but kept in touch with the owner who decided to sell and I bought the car back in 2014. Since then, it has seen a general refurbishment and tidy up but sadly little use! Around 200 miles a year which is the main reason for selling again. In polished aluminium and red fibreglass wings and nosecone, it attracts a lot of positive comments. The mileage is around 35, 000, there is a little “patina” to the bodywork, predominantly under the front wings where stones have been thrown up by the tyres. There is no corrosion of the aluminium from the inside. When I built the car I “drowned” it in wax & GT85 in all the likely areas.
4 speed gearbox, live axle, LSD, Bilsteins, FIA bar, recent wheels and Toyo R888R tyres, recent MSA approved lightweight battery., Motolita, leather seats, Caterham harnesses.
