Owned by me for over 30 years this was originally supplied as a 3/ 4 faired full-on cafe racer.
I have the original fairing/ dual seat wheels etc available too but not included in price - please see picture in original cafe racer format for ref.
From experience, it takes about half a day to switch between the two variants.
Rickman's are rare in this condition and would make a sound investment.
Has featured twice in National magazines, most recently in Practical Sportsbikes, and got a great review even against modern machines.
Currently in sit-up and beg trim due to my 60 yr old knees not coping with clip-ons and rearset originals anymore.
Bike has lowered seat height and is physically relatively small for a 1200. Minimal weight makes it fantastic handling machine and a monster off the line. Big motor means you can pull top gear from as low as 25mph smoothly and safely.
Loads of provenance with this bike.
Attracts huge amounts of attention and is a very clean example of these rare machines.
Motor:
1170cc, hi-comp pistons, gas flowed head. Only approx 3500 miles since full conversion.
Chassis:
Reynolds 531 light weight tubing.
Please ignore the sheep skin cover on the seat. Its not fixed and seat is new vinyl underneath ;)
A rare and genuine bike that will increase in value but is still practical as a daily ride.
