This Wolseley is a running, driving, useable, cheap starter classic.
The current V5 document is present and registered as historic, therefore it benefits from tax and MOT exemption.
According to the previous owner of the classic, it’s had approximately £5, 000 spent on recommissioning within the past 2 years (since being taken out of storage). The previous owner has also written notes saying that he believes the low mileage of 55, 544 to be correct. He states that he bought it from the first owner, who bought from new in 1974, and went on to own until approximately 2019. (Please note we don’t guarantee mileages due to age, however there’s nothing to disprove).
Within the history file for the vehicle is a Wolseley passport to service with the first owners details and a couple of service stamps, a Shell Service Sheet from October 1974, Original Wolseley Six drivers handbook with wallet and supplying dealer stamp, lots of old tax discs (dating back to 1975), copy of the old style V5 document with the first owners details in and then a few more current V5 documents.
The first owner is said to have owned the Wolseley from 1974 to 2019. It was then bought by the 2nd owner (who was going to recommission the classic after being in storage- this never happened), he then sold it to the 3rd owner (who recommissioned), and then bought it back from this owner and registered again to himself. The 5th owner is a classic car dealer.
From the invoices supplied with the vehicle, it shows that it had £2, 536. 50 spent in April 2021. This included some repairs, replacing fluids and filters, cleaning out the carbs, fuel lines, brakes etc.
In July 2022 it had a further £939. 00 spent on new HT leads, filters, plugs, battery, steering rack etc. It also is said to have had the underside of the vehicle wire brushed and undersealed.
Looking at the vehicle it’s also had paintwork and 5 new tyres.
The interior of the vehicle is in a very original condition. The vehicle seems mechanically very good however I would say that a couple of the door bottoms aren’t great, but there’s 2 door skins included in the sale should you wish to improve.
