2001 LONDON TX1 - QUARTZ LE MODEL
This vehicle was first registered on the 26th June 2001. Supplied new by main dealers Mann & Overton and first purchased by my uncle who used it as a London Taxi for 15 years up until his retirement in June 2018.
Its mileage on that date was 191, 111 miles. Since then the vehicle has passed ownership to two vintage taxi enthusiasts whom have kept it in the same excellent condition as it can be seen in today.
This is a limited edition Quartz LE model one of only 100 built , and cost £31, 500 in 2001. It has a plaque in the front drivers cabin confirming its unique No. 35th of 100 produced at the time. Very few of the Quartz model now exist.
It has now only covered a mere 195, 151 miles - predominantly in the City of London by one owner, obviously maintained to strict TFL standards as are the rules for London Black Taxis. To make it unique this particular cab has carried famous people to include George Best, Mick Jagger and Benedict Cumberbatch
