Extremely rare International truck, Restored several years ago to the current condition.
Entire vehicle was stripped back blasted and zinc primed, all new brakes, stainless sleeved cylinders etc.
Bendix type 3 brake servo.
Canvas was made by Allied Forces.
Good tyres all round. 2 fuel tanks, both in use with fuel transfer pump.
It had no engine or gearbox when I got the truck so its now fitted with a Toyota Landcruiser 4. 2 Turbo Diesel (1HD-T) along with the Landcruiser gearbox and transfer case, this makes the vehicle a pleasure to drive with plenty of power to cruise at 55mph.
Selectable 4 wheel drive, Hi/ Lo range etc. A
fter release from the US Navy in the late 40's it spent nearly 50 years with the North Reading Fire Dept, Massachusetts before going to a vehicle collector. Great truck for shows and rallying, really useable and reliable.
Completed a few 1000 miles trips to BMVT winter rally and Tanks in Town etc without any problems.
