Description
Certified historical vehicle.
Born in 1961 as the smaller sibling of the six-cylinder W111, and officially registered as the W110. Mortality was high in the family, as the W110/ W111 duo were the first cars from Stuttgart to undergo real (full-car) crash tests. The 110 was not as fancy as the 111; it lacked the wood inlays on the dashboard, used simple round headlights instead of the "stacked" headlamps, and retained only the lower tier of the tiered bumpers. Another thing that comes to mind is that from 1965 to 1968, the W110 200s were exclusively equipped with the 1. 9 liter M121 BIX engine, which featured chain-driven timing and OHC configuration, along with two original Solex carburetors.
